| Dr. Martinez works very hard to stay at the leading edge of orthodontic advances in order to provide his patients with the latest and best treatment options available. Below is a list of the continuing education Dr. Martinez has taken in the last couple of years. While the Ohio State Dental Board mandates 20 hours of continuing education each year, Dr. Martinez usually exceeds 100 hours per year! 2008: Total CE (continuing education)= 112.5 Lecture/Supervised CE plus approximately 40 hours unsupervised (low estimate) for a total of 152.5 hours for 2008. (San Antonio) (20hrs) November 7, 2008. OSHA/Infection Control Course. Course REQUIRED for every dentist in Ohio by Ohio State Dental Board every 2 years for dental license renewal (2 hrs CE) November 14-15, 2008. Dr. Martinez reads the 3 major orthodontic journals each month (American Journal of Orthodontics, Angle Orthodontist, and Journal of Clinical Orthodontics) as well as several trade journals.
